New York City
Before we head south and east, art lovers should mark their calendars for New York City's fall art season, opening with the Armory Show and Independent 20th Century, September 24-27, 2026. The Armory Show returns to the Javits Center with nearly 230 international galleries, while Independent 20th Century takes over Sotheby's New York at the Breuer on the Upper East Side with a focus on historical and modern works. Together they anchor New York's Armory Week, one of the most important stretches on the fall art calendar. While this isn't one of our tour stops this season, it's not to be missed if you're in the city.
